Teresa Turnbull has been a research assistant at the Chair of English Literature at the Institute for English, American and Romance Studies at RWTH Aachen University since 2019. She is currently working on her dissertation project on the topic “Impossible Bodies – Character Bodies and Reader Cognition in Speculative Fiction”, supervised by Prof. Dr. Ralf Schneider. In addition to cognitive literary studies, her research interests also include disability studies, gender studies, and the representation of monsters and marvels in literature and culture.
